Unsafe garment industry needs trade unions12 September, 201411 September marked the second anniversary of the deadly fire at a factory owned by Ali Enterprises in Karachi. The fire was one of the worst industrial accidents in Pakistan; 259 workers died, many were seriously injured and 1,500 were left with no employment.

IndustriALL India women discuss decent work29 August, 2014Some 40 women from IndustriALL affiliates from all over India met in Kolkata on 26 and 27 August to exchange experiences about what they have done so far and to think about what they want to do in the future. About 10 men leaders of the unions also took part in the workshop. It was held in the framework of the Asia Pacific union building project.
