ARGENTINA: Fiat and Renault, which both have auto assembly plants in the province of Cordoba, have announced that as many as 3,300 workers will be made redundant. The carmakers claim that the layoffs are a result of lower demand due to the economic recession.
Fiat will lay off 1,800 workers, while Renault will reduce their personnel by 1,500.
