GENEVA: The International Metalworkers' Federation will be publishing its new auto report in conjunction with the upcoming IMF World Auto Council, to take place in Wolfsburg, Germany, on September 26-27. The 54-page publication, entitled "IMF Auto Report 2000" and produced in English, Spanish, German and French, provides up-to-date detailed information on the world automotive industry.
In addition to the usual information on the employment situation and industry outlook, this year's report contains a comparison and evaluation of the new global auto alliances which are in the process of formation. Also, there is a long-term forecast which attempts to give a reasonable estimate of what the trend level vehicle sales will be in 2020.
In order to determine an adequate print run, the IMF would request those affiliates wishing to order hard copies of the publication to inform the IMF Automotive Department within the next few days of the number of copies they will be needing. Contact by e-mail: [email protected] or by fax on: +41-22-308-5055.
The IMF will, of course, be distributing the report to participants in the World Auto Council in Wolfsburg.
"IMF Auto Report 2000" will become available for downloading in the above-mentioned languages on the IMF's website under "Publications".
