GM to close Quebec plant

CANADA: General Motors, the world's largest carmaker, says that the decision to end car assembly in Quebec follows falling demand over several years for the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models produced there.
According to GM, 90 per cent of the workforce at the St. Therese facility would be eligible for early retirement.
