EUROPE: Under the European Trade Union Solidarity Pact, members of trade unions belonging to the European Metalworkers' Federation sent by their companies to work in another European Union country are entitled to free access to all benefits provided by the union of the host country.
This right covers relevant collective bargaining agreements, information, advice, legal protection, etc.
The IMF's German metalworkers' affiliate, IG Metall, states for example that it offers one year of dues-free membership to workers coming from other EMF member unions of EU countries.
