99 Colombian Trade Unionists Murdered in 2004, Says ICFTU

The ICFTU’s Annual Survey of Trade Union Rights Violations was released 18 October, covering the year 2004.

The union confederation of national labour centers found a total of 145 murders of trade union leaders in 2004, 16 higher than in 2003. And again in 2004, Colombia leads the world with 99 killings of union leaders.
