3 April, 2024As an HR Officer at IndustriALL, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our human resources functions, supporting our dedicated team, and ensuring our operations align with our mission and values. This position may require travel and offers the possibility of teleworking.
IndustriALL Global Union is a global trade union organization, representing 50 million workers in the mining, energy and manufacturing sectors in 140 countries. IndustriALL focuses on building union power worldwide through organizing and campaigning, fighting for an economic and social model that puts people first, based on democracy and social justice.
Key responsibilities
- Employee lifecycle management: oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding processes.
- Legal compliance & records management: ensure compliance with Swiss labor laws and regulations and maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records.
- Payroll and benefits: Coordinate and collaborate with payroll companies in Geneva, Belgium, and Germany to manage monthly payroll processes
- Recruitment and relocation: support in the recruitment process and assist employees in their relocation .
- HR policy development: develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring they meet organizational and legal requirements.
- Stakeholder liaison: act as the primary contact for HR-related matters with various stakeholders and provide HR support across regional offices.
Requirements
- Higher education with a Swiss federal diploma in Human Resources (Brevet federal RH)
- At least 5 years of HR experience, preferably within trade unions, international organizations, or NGOs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions and the Swiss system, including pay and benefits, recruitment, and training & development.
- Excellent command of English and French; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with the time management system: Kelio is an advantage.
