24 April, 2014Rana Plaza survivor, Jesmin Akter, was forced to go to work by her supervisor, despite being scared for her life by the large crack in the eight-story garment factory building.
The 21-year-old garment worker, was petrified as she started her day at New Wave Style on the sixth floor of the Rana Plaza factory complex. She was pulled out of the rubble unconscious after it collapsed soon after her shift began on 24 April 2013. While she survived, she mourns the loss of her two best friends who died in the industrial homicide. Watch her tell her story.
